What you'll do on day 5
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer to the bus station. Travel to Puno on a tourist bus (in a group with other tourists, English-speaking guide) across the Peruvian highlands. The first stop is Andahuaylillas, where you will visit a small but very beautiful church. The next stop is Raqchi, the temple of the deity Wiracocha, known for its high walls and passageways. Then, stop for lunch (buffet), followed by a stop at La Raya Pass, the natural border between Cusco and Puno, where you will enjoy picturesque views. Before arriving in Puno, you will visit the museum of the town of Pukara, where you can purchase traditional clay bull figures. Arrival in Puno in the evening. The total duration of the excursion is about 10 hours. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Puno (3827 meters above sea level).
