What you'll do on day 3
- After breakfast at your hotel, set out on an excursion to Corcovado Mountain, home to the world-famous Christ the Redeemer statue.
- A train takes you from the foot of the mountain through the Tijuca rainforest, where you may encounter some of Rio’s tropical wildlife, including toucans, monkeys and armadillos.
- At the summit of Corcovado, 700 metres above sea level, stands the iconic 38-metre statue of Christ the Redeemer. From here, breathtaking panoramic views unfold across Rio de Janeiro, stretching from Guanabara Bay and Maracanã Stadium to Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana, Ipanema and Gávea Mountain.
- After the tour, you can enjoy coffee and traditional Brazilian sweets at the historic Confeitaria Colombo.
