
What you'll do on day 10
- Your second day in the Altiplano immerses you in an explosion of colors. You will visit the Joyas Altoandinas, a series of high-altitude lagoons whose vibrant hues are created by minerals and algae. Marvel at the deep red of Laguna Colorada, the sparkling emerald of Laguna Chiarkhota, and the shimmering turquoise of Laguna Cañapa. Hundreds of thousands of pink and white flamingos inhabit these waters, adding even more life and color to the surreal landscape.
- Continue by Jeep across the legendary Uyuni Salt Flats, where the land and sky blend into a single, endless horizon. Crossing this immense white desert is a transcendent experience, as reflections and mirages create the illusion of walking on the sky.
- Approaching the edge of the Salt Flats, you will see the vivid green Laguna Verde, set dramatically at the foot of the dormant volcanoes Licancabur and Juriques, giving the sensation of standing on the surface of the moon.
- Your adventure continues toward Fish Island (Isla Incahuasi), home to the world’s tallest cacti. Hike to the top of the island for a breathtaking 360° view over the endless Salt Flat.
- Overnight in Uyuni City.
- Continue the trip through the Salt Flats of Uyuni towards the Fish Island, where you will find the highest cactus in the world. Hike up to the top of the island to enjoy a great view of the entire Salt Flat. After the great adventure overnight.
