What you'll do on day 8
- We will head up into the mountains to Petrópolis, known as the "Imperial City." In 1830, Brazil's last emperor, Dom Pedro II, built a summer palace here to bring his sick daughter away from the heat of Rio. It was here that he received news of the military coup that deposed him. We will visit famous attractions such as the Saint Peter of Alcantara Cathedral, the Imperial Museum, the Crystal Palace, and Santos Dumont's House. You can optionally add an excursion to the Bohemia Brewery. After the tour, you will head to Tiradentes to spend the night.
