What you'll do on day 2
- After breakfast at the hotel you will have a guided city tour around Sao Paulo. We start our tour at the historical downtown. We will visit Se Square, Sé Cathedral, the largest Japanese quarter in the world, the city 's Foundation Square, we will drive along the Tea Bridge, visit the Municipal Opera and Ballet Theater, the Station Square, the Municipal Market, Republic Square, the Building of Italian Terrace. Then, we will explore the modern part of the city: central Paulista Avenue, Ibirapuera Park. The huge territory of the park is decorated with water channels, lakes, and spreading trees. Lots of playgrounds and bike trails are to be found in the park aswell. The Obelisk, the monument built in honor of the heroes of the revolution of 1932 can also be seen, as well as the Bandeiras monument, created in memory of the expeditions that was in search of gold and precious stones in the first century after the discovery of Brazil. At the end of your tour we will see elite areas with the modern architecture of the city, and visit the graphite district.
