What you'll do on day 2
- After breakfast, depart on a half-day excursion (4 hours) to one of Rio de Janeiro's most famous landmarks. The tour begins with a cable car ride to Sugar Loaf Mountain, making a first stop at Urca Hill, before continuing to the summit. From the top, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Guanabara Bay, Copacabana Beach, the surrounding mountains, the islands scattered along the coast, the Rio–Niterói Bridge, and the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue in the distance.
- The excursion continues through the historic centre of Rio de Janeiro, where you will admire beautiful colonial buildings, churches, monasteries and the city's impressive Metropolitan Cathedral, discovering the rich history and cultural heritage of the city.
- The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to enjoy Rio at your own pace. Relax on the beach, take a stroll along the famous promenades of Copacabana or Ipanema, or simply soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the Marvelous City.
